Today was our last day working on Koh Yao island. The next day, we are heading off to Phuket. We began our day teaching.

For PE, we taught the kids how to play the competitive game of kickball.

It got so competitive that the head teacher at the school, Sophia, decided to participate.

After kickball, the kids played a game where they formed two lines. The object of the game was the head of the line had to grab the green flag from the student at the back of the line. However, the kids must keep the line at all times and only the head of the line can grab the flag. No kids were injured or hurt in the participation of this game.

Here is how they play basketball. Kio and I served as the baskets.

At the end of our lessons, the kids performed a song in Thai for us. This girl is the next Thai Idol. Even though we didn't know the words of the song, the gesture of appreciation really touched our hearts. After the song, the kids presented us with refrigerator magnets, which were made by one of the kids.

Here we are with all the students and school faculty. As you'll notice, some of the kids are wearing their Muslim attire. On Fridays, the kids only attend school half day so they can go to the mosque with their parents after school.

Here we are with the faculty of the school.

Here are some of the children at the school. Their smiles and faces are forever engraved in our memories. Until we meet again.

We gave the kids stickers which they used as earrings.

One of the students, Lan (not pictured), just lost his mom to cancer a week before we arrived. The school tuition is approximately 1,000 Baht (or $30 US dollars) for one semester. Our team took a love offerring for him and his younger brother. Please keep Lan and his family in your prayers.

After teaching, we headed to a rothi (pronounced row-tee) stand. These are one of the best crepe like treats I've ever eaten.

3 different kinds of rothi.

Myles was feeling sick this day so he rested in the truck. As I blog, Myles is still sick...please pray for healing for Myles as he will be spending another week in Thailand after our team returns.

We finally finished the fence.

Here we are with our host, Fadi.

For dinner we headed to one of our favorite outdoor restaurants, owned by the man to the left of the picture. He was one of the foreman who helped us build the fence.

Suzie with (left to right) Fadi, our host, Pom, lives and works at the MRI with Fadi, and Ali, who was hired to worked on the fence with us. Ali lives in Phuket and had lost his entire business during the tsunami and Fadi was helping him out by giving him a job working on the fence with us. We are unsure if Ali is a Christian, but Fadi has been witnessing to these two men during his 5 months on the island.

Fadi and Pom. Pom was so sad when Fadi left the island since Fadi was like an older brother to him. Please pray for Pom as he is now all alone on the island. Pray that he finds friends who are of a good influence to him. Fadi decided to wear his Muslim attire.

Fadi and I.
